Dramatize day care is based in Ashford, Surrey and provides a safe, caring and supportive environment for our students. Our exceptional person centred care enables our students to learn, grow in confidence and fulfil their potential. Our highly experienced team are passionate about helping our students develop their independence and health and well being, focusing on the individual and their wants and needs.
Dramatize provides a whole programme of opportunities which focus on our students passions, with an emphasis on developing shared goals that our students can work towards. Our students are supported in developing and learning important life skills that will help them to lead a fulfilling life. We offer weekly sessions focusing around independence, health and well being, social development and enjoyment all within a safe, friendly and caring environment. Our aim is to support our students to build their own futures by nurturing their own autonomy and providing opportunities for our students to challenge themselves. This aids our students growth and development and prevents them from becoming socially isolated. Our weekly sessions include swimming, hydro pool, sailing, companion cycling, trampolining adventure playground, visits to our tea rooms and allotment. Our students also enjoy and choose to participate in bowling, cinema visits, trips to the beach, shopping and many more! We are lucky to have a dedicated team of facilitators who visit our provisions weekly to provide sessions in dance fitness, Music, creative movement, musical theatre, Makaton and Lego therapy. Our unique blend of activities ensure our students enjoy an active life and further their skills. Our premises are fully accessible for our students, including a changing room with accessible bed and hoist, disabled bathroom and medical room. We have 3 accessible vehicles to support our students to access the community, although our students do have a fondness for public transport!
Our students follow a consistent timetable developed around our students goals, learning and interests. Our timetable is adjusted throughout the year, reflecting changes within our students interest and personal goals.
Please Note: If the individual already attends a provision, this does not narrow their options. Each young adult can use their Self-Directed Support (SDS) or other funding from their care package, to attend several provisions. We are happy to advise you on this.
