Having a sister with a disability changes your perception of the world and makes you
realise your priorities in life! It makes you grow up faster and handle situations that
some siblings may never have to experience, but that is a positive not a negative. It
makes you stronger and more resilient to what life may throw at you. Most people will
see her disability, her saliva, her wheelchair and the various other needs she has over
personality, I see HER and the fact that she has fought to be here today and that
contagious smile that never disappears. She is my sister no matter what her disabilities
are and I cannot thank her enough for making me who I am today!
