Pathway 2 -  Academy

Within Pathway 2 - Academy, each individual will work towards independence, understanding time, money management and travel training to learn the life skills required to become an artist. Each individual will work towards becoming an artist true to their own vision.

The day is split in two, one half focusing on different art forms, the other out in the community practising key life skills including travel training training, money management and work experience opportunities.

On the course we will cover performing modules such as Yoga, Band practise, Singing, Zumba, Acting and much more. The modules are changed on a regular basis.

Below are a few case studies of our students who are beginning their life as an artist.

These are just a few of our students who worked with our staff to find the area they would like to further their knowledge in.

Our Academy programme follows a set timetable,  building upon each individuals independence, like skills and knowledge in the arts, providing opportunities to perform in the local community.

  • The course runs five days a week Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm.
  • You can attend on a full or part time basis.

Each student will have personal targets to work towards each year. Our staff work closely with parents and/or carers, holding review meetings to discuss individual progress.

Please Note: If the individual already attends a provision, this does not narrow their options. Each young adult can use their Self-Directed Support (SDS) or other funding from their care package, to attend several provisions. We are happy to advise you on this.

Suitable for -
Our programme is suitable for individuals with a learning disability or disability who are able to manage their own behaviour within a variety of settings.

How to enrol -
If you are interested in joining Pathway 2 - Dramatize Academy, please apply for a taster session by contacting a member of the team.
