Life Skills & Employment

Who It's Suitable For:

This programme is ideal for individuals with learning disabilities who can manage their behavior in various settings. We welcome those ready to embrace new challenges and grow.

Building Futures

Dramatize's Employment and Life Skills Programme is designed to empower students with learning disabilities, focusing on nurturing skills, independence, education, self-confidence, and experiences. This approach is crucial in a country where only 5% of people with learning disabilities are in paid employment..

Comprehensive Skill Development

The program covers a wide range of essential skills, including customer service, barista skills, workplace health and safety, CV writing, self-advocacy, teamwork, food preparation, travel training, money management, and meaningful work experience, particularly in our Tea rooms.

Transition Support

Understanding the challenges of transitioning from education to employment, Dramatize offers a supportive stepping stone. This phase is crucial for students to gain new skills, build confidence, and prepare for future employment opportunities.

Future Employment Pathways:

As students complete the programme, they emerge as confident, knowledgeable, and skilled, ready for employment. Dramatize collaborates with Surrey Care Trust for continued support in finding volunteer work, paid employment, or further training.

Supportive Elements Summary

Dramatize's programme is deeply committed to offering opportunities that nurture autonomy and independence. We focus on individual needs, aiming to instill confidence and choice in our students.
